--------How DKP will be earned. --------
DKP (Dragon Kill Points) will be awarded to each individual partaking in a 25 man raid boss kill. The amount of DKP will be determined by boss, not by what his individual drops are on any given night. For example, High King Maulgur is worth 50 DKP per kill, divided by the 25 people killing him is 2 DKP each. Gruul is worth 75 DKP per kill, so 3 DKP each. There will also be a partial amount of DKP awarded to those people who sign up for the raid but do not get into it AND stay readily available in the general area of the raid, to come in on a moments notice, for the duration of the raid.
    --------How the system works. --------
The amount of DKP charged to an individual for a piece of loot from any kill is determined loosely based on the zero sum method. For Example, High King Maulgur is worth 50 DKP per kill. He drops 3 items, a "normal drop" and 2 Tier pieces. The normal drop costs 15 DKP and each of the two Tier pieces is 17.5 DKP. The total of the three (15 + 17.5 + 17.5)= 50. So at the beginning and end of each raid there should be an approximate zero sum total of all the raiders DKP.(The system is not straight zero sum, as there will be items that are passed on, as well as weapons and other items that cost more than the "normal item" but zero-sum is the fundamental basis of the system)
--------How basic loot values are determined. --------
The basic loot value will be determined as above, to correspond to the boss value, loosely following the loot values set forth by WoW. For the most part, as we continue to move up the progression ladder and kill tougher and tougher boss mobs, that drop better and better loot, the value of each boss mob will increase as will the amount charged for his drops.
    --------Loot Categories--------
There will be several categories of loot.Normal loot which is most armor, trinkets, and jewelry etc..Chest and Leg items which will be approximately normal value + 15%Tier items which will cost normal value + approximately 15%Weapons which will be approximately normal value + 25%2 Handed weapons which will be approximately normal value + 75%. These are standard loot costs guidelines for most guilds and closely mirrors how WoW charges for items in BG or Arena loot. DKP values for individual items can be found by clicking on the items tab of the DKP website, then clicking on the individual Raid Zone.
--------Bidding Procedure and Loot Distribution. --------
When the boss is killed an officer will link the loot in guild chat. Moments later an officer will link an item and direct the raid to send him tells to put in a bid on it. He will also state what classes if any will have priority for that specific drop, for the vast majority of drops it is readily apparent, for those few that it is not, we will attempt to be as inclusive as possible. If you want the item that drops, send a tell to that officer with the following info 1. Name 2. Current DKP 3. Member Status The officer will then do a 2nd call and then a final call, and then announce the winner and his DKP total. At this point there will be a moment before the loot is distributed, this is the last moment to catch any mistake that was made, i.e. you wrote 24 DKP but you really have 42, or you sent the tell to a different officer by mistake, whatever, you now have 30 seconds to a minute to alert the officers there was a mistake made. This is NOT the time to reopen bidding, no further bids will be taken or considered. This is only a moment to resolve any disputes. The item will then be awarded to whichever member or raiding member that bid and had the most DKP. If no members or Raiding Members bid then the item will be awarded to the New Member with the most DKP and put in a bid.
--------If no one bids on an item--------
If no individual in the raid is willing to pay for the loot through the DKP system then the DKP system is no longer used in the loot distribution of the item. The officer will reopen tells for alternative use / downgrade / I just want to wear that goofy looking hat uses. Loot will be awarded by random roll as determined by the officer in charge of loot. Priority for rolling for this FREE loot, as no DKP will be charged, will be given to toons that are likely, and have in the past, used that secondary set in raiding or to otherwise help the guild. For example, A tank sword drops, first priority on it will go to DPS Warriors, 2nd priority to Pallys, and 3rd to anyone who wants it for whatever reason. During this process, up until the time the loot is awarded or the officer asks for rolls, anyone who wants the loot and is willing to pay the normal DKP price for it can speak up and take it. Once a determination has been made and or rolls asked for, the loot will no longer be eligible for purchase.Members will not be allowed to roll to upgrade their primary raid set. If you want the item for an upgrade, then you need to buy it through the DKP system. The purpose of this is to allow people to build their secondary sets that they might use to help the riad, the guild, or just to go out and have fun with. Priority will be given in that order.
    --------Declarations--------
The system as we are using it is a simple one, and it rely's on the general integrity of the officers and guild members to function properly. Any attempted abuse or manipulation of the system in any way will not be tolerated. The system above is a very general one and will very likely need to be slightly modified from time to time as the months and years pass. Though there is no need or intention to do so at this time or in the near future, the officers reserve the right to make such changes as needed to benefit the players and the guild as a whole.

    --------Additional info.--------
  • Items will be bid on in a specific order, multiclass items being bid on first, ie Tier sets.
  • Going into the Eye now we will encounter Nether Vortexes. Nether Vortexes are components in Tier 3 Weapons and in Epic armor plans / patterns dropped in the Eye and Serpentshrine.
  • When the first Nether Vortex drops, it will be bid on just as with all items, anyone who needs a nether vortex may bid. Whoever has the most DKP wins, and that person will then be asked how many they need to make the specific item they are making. They will at that moment be charged DKP in the amount of 5 DKP per Vortex for the total amount of Vortecies needed for their item, and they will be given each vortex that drops until such time that they have their quota.
  • If there are no bids then the vortecies will be passed out to the guild crafters of each profession. When a pattern drops and someone wants an item crafted, they will bid just as above, and will pay in DKP for the Nether Vortecies for the item to be crafted. The bidder will be responsible for providing all other mats for the crafted item.

I agree to abide and uphold all DKP policies.
